How this site is paid for

Advertising pays for the writing. It does not pay for a place in a ranking, a badge, or a kinder verdict — and that distinction is the whole point of this page.

Where the money stands today

As of the date at the bottom of this page, the site carries no advertising and no affiliate links. It earns nothing.

It is intended to carry Google AdSense advertising, and may join affiliate programmes later. When either goes live, this page changes in the same release as the change, so that the disclosure never lags behind the site it describes.

Advertising

Ads, once present, will be served by a third-party network and will be visually distinct from editorial content. Advertisers see aggregate performance, not the writing, and they do not get to approve, edit or withdraw a page.

An ad appearing beside a page about the panda base does not mean the panda base, or the network, endorses the page. It means an auction matched an ad to a topic.

Advertising uses cookies. The privacy policy explains how, and links to the opt-outs for personalised advertising.

Affiliate links, if and when they are added

An affiliate link pays the site a commission when a reader buys something through it, at no extra cost to the reader. If such links are added, they will be labelled as affiliate links in the sentence that carries them, not buried in a footer.

Two things follow from that. A commission never decides whether a place appears, where it ranks, or what the verdict says — a page can recommend the free option and be right to. And a page that carries no affiliate link is not being disadvantaged: most of the site is written with no commercial link on it at all.

What money cannot buy here

Paid placement in the Top 20. The order comes from search volume within three tiers — must-see, useful, and skippable — and no payment moves a place between them.

A must-see badge. Badges reflect whether a place earns a morning, not whether anyone asked for one.

A better verdict. Several cards on the home page end by telling you to skip the place, and those verdicts are not for sale.

Removal of a page or a criticism. If a page is removed, it is because the fact base no longer supports it, not because somebody wrote in.

How to check that this is true

The disclosures here are not a promise you have to take on trust. Every page that carries prices or hours names the source it used and the date it was checked, so a number can be traced back to the official page it came from.

If you believe a recommendation has been influenced by money, write to support@chengduattractions.com with the page and the reason. The answer will state plainly whether any commercial relationship exists on that page — and if one does, it should have been disclosed there already.
